"Ano ang pasista?"-Jaime Fabregas to Ricky Davao in Pinoy Blonde
as always when the it is the weekend me and my partner in crime/my dude ( Mel) always hits the cinemas. i have always thought of myself as a movie buff, what i didn't know is that he is far more updated than i am when it comes to films especially the "classics." Lemme give u an example: i didn't know War of the Worlds by tom cruise is a remake also Herbie Fully reloaded which we watched yesterday. We enjoyed it surprisingly for both of us. After watching that, i suddenly had this urge to get my own car asap.(haha!how i wish!)But Last Saturday we were excited, well actually i was excited to see Pinoy Blonde. I dunno why. i just love seeing not-so-typical films, alternative films. it also helped i guess that the soundtrack rocks!and after watching the funnny trailer and commercials i knew i'm gonna love it.we went to Glorietta 4. Disappointed to see that it is not being shown there instead it was all foreign. It's funny. when a good Pinoy film is made it doesn't get the support it deserves. I remember, that movie by Hero Angeles and Sandara Park was shown at Glorietta 4, yet Pinoy Blonde which doesn't even compare to that crap was not shown there.( no offense meant to Hero-San fans.hehe.free country!) So we went to Glorietta 1 instead.
I always have this mind set before i watch a movie not to expect that much from it so i won't be disappointed. But Pinoy Blonde is one freakin' good movie! It has a wicked sense of humour tackling some issues about being blonde, lust, sex, love, relationships, family, the society,drugs..
Fader told us that the people who will appreciate Pinoy Blonde would have to be those with twisted and sick minds or yung mga "sabog" as he put it. haha!!!
Mel and I loved it...what does it say about how we think?!! You be the judge...
mwahaha!!!
warning: if you are not that comfortable hearing curses that much then stay away from this film...
